In time, patterns travel between articles, between works of art of one function and ones of another. Everyone renders the same patterns in a new way.* That means that traveling patterns always acquire exceptional features.

Some patterns were adapted for dim fabrics according to the example of other textiles; other patterns were interpreted, created. Many patterns are common to all of Lithuania, only their names and perception differ a little. It is astonishing that recreated forms of quadrangle motifs are very simple.
