This is a liturgical chant book of processionals (Latin: liber procesionalis, procesionale). It is the only Mariënpoel chant collection that survived till nowadays. Chaplain of the Monastery Mariënpoel, Frater Adrianus, is the scribe of the manuscript. The processional starts with singing devoted to Three Wise Men Festival; afterwards there are chants of the liturgical year.

Polyphonic chants for two voices form a distinctive group that also covers processional chants, hymns for saints, etc. The biggest part of the polyphonic pieces for two voices include Christmas chants (cantio natalitia) created using simple note-to-note counterpoint (Latin: nota contra notam).

There are given incipients of certain chants according to responsories and tones of psalms (moduses) and also melodic formula of chants.

Choral chants: hymns, responsories, antiphons, psalms, etc. written in four lines system of Gothic form of the choral notation close to Hufnagelschrift. Polyphonic chants have mensural notation elements and white mensural notation. The book is rich with decorations and colourful drawings.
